While there is no formal training required to participate in ACS Calgary, the resources listed below will be of help whether you’re participating in a public service event, or an incident.
Incident Command System courses

- There are several different levels, but it is recommended to take the ICS I-100 course which will provide a general overview of ICS principles, history, terminology and organization structure.
Comm Academy

Canwarn

- RAC puts these on a couple of times a year.
Ham Radio Prep – Emergency Communications 101
- https://hamradioprep.com/emergency-communications/
- While the focus is for US-based events, there’s a lot of overlap and the training takes you through a mock public service event before moving on to emergency/disaster/incident communications.
